Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi (66) is a Brazillian bank leader from Marilla, Sao Paulo with more than forty years of experience behind his back. He is leading the massive Bradesco Bank, established 84 years ago, as its Chief Executive Officer and President.
At 17 years of age, Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi got his first taste for working at a bank. He was appointed to the lowest rank working as a clerk. At the time Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi was studying at the Foundation School of Sociology and Politics, achieving a degree in Socio-Psychology. Bradesco Bank was his first serious work and it evolved in his lifetime career.

While at the post, Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi made the Bradesco Bank work better with the media and value communication with outside institutions more. The corporation was recognized for its stronger dialogue with Brazilian media and Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi received a promotion to the post of Chief Executive Officer after 8 years. Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi started leading a subsidiary as the CEO of the Bradesco Vida e Previdencia. He was on the job from 1992 to 1998. The next level in his career came when he was promoted to Managing Director of Bradesco Bank in 1998. Even though he stayed at the post for only a year, it was a gateway to his being promoted to Executive Vice President which led to other responsibilities as well. By 2003, Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi had accumulated many responsibilities on his plate. He was the President of another subsidiary called Bradesco Seguros as well which consisted of 8 businesses. During his tenure at the presidential position, Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi contributed and achieved a lot. He led the launch of the stock shares for the Bradesco Bank and more than doubled the revenue of Bradesco Seguros. The company achieved a 25 percent leadership of the market in Brazil. Soon after, Bradesco Seguros reached a leading spot in Latin America in its respective sector.
Those achievements took the career of Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi at the Bradesco Bank to the top as in 2009 he was appointed to President of the Bradesco Bank. Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi is the fourth President of the financial establishment. Once again, Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi assumed the leadership of many large projects. One of the most significant ones was in 2015. The Bradesco Bank bought the HSBC in Brazil which turned out to be the largest business deal made in Brazil during that entire year.
Last year, Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi became the Chairman of the Board of Directors. He was elected to take over the post after Lazaro de Mello Brandao stepped off the post. Brandao was at the position for 40 years. Last year he reached 91 years of age and decided to retire from business to some extent though he will continue to manage a few subsidiaries. Lazaro de Mello Brandao elected his successor from the Bradesco Bank’s pool of most talented and high-achieving executives. Luiz Carlos Trabuco Cappi will have to do the same in a few years as the company prefers to promote instead of bringing on new staff.
